The Theatre Organ Club

Regent Street Cinema

We are delighted to report that the TOC has agreed to continuing sponsorship of organ preludes on the original Compton Theatre Pipe Organ at this cinema during the new season of classic films to be shown at this historic venue in central London.
The season opened on 9th September 2015 and is weekly thereafter. The season commenced with Peter Hammond at the console. Peter was instrumental in getting the organ restored and back in use.

The main organist was Victor Patterson, no stranger to cinema playing having previously been on the teams at the Odeon Leicester Square and the State Grays. Victor decided to step down as organist at the end of August 2017 and there is currently a rota of organists. Our thanks to Andy Quin for standing in at short notice to cover. Organists on the rota so far are: Jonathan Eyre, Peter Hammond, Mark Laflin, Donald MacKenzie and Andy Quin.
